SV	[Jod.] De oudsten der dochter Sions zitten op de aarde, zij zwijgen stil, zij werpen stof op hun hoofd, zij hebben zakken aangegord; de jonge dochters van Jeruzalem laten haar hoofd ter aarde hangen.
WLC	יֵשְׁב֨וּ לָאָ֤רֶץ יִדְּמוּ֙ זִקְנֵ֣י בַת־צִיֹּ֔ון הֶֽעֱל֤וּ עָפָר֙ עַל־רֹאשָׁ֔ם חָגְר֖וּ שַׂקִּ֑ים הֹורִ֤ידוּ לָאָ֙רֶץ֙ רֹאשָׁ֔ן בְּתוּלֹ֖ת יְרוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ ס
Trans.	yēšəḇû lā’āreṣ yidəmû ziqənê ḇaṯ-ṣîywōn he‘ĕlû ‘āfār ‘al-rō’šām ḥāḡərû śaqqîm hwōrîḏû lā’āreṣ rō’šān bəṯûlōṯ yərûšālāim:

AC	י ישבו לארץ ידמו זקני בת ציון--העלו עפר על ראשם חגרו שקים הורידו לארץ ראשן בתולת ירושלם {ס}
ASV	The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, they keep silence; They have cast up dust upon their heads; they have girded themselves with sackcloth: The virgins of Jerusalem hang down their heads to the ground.
BE	The responsible men of the daughter of Zion are seated on the earth without a word; they have put dust on their heads, they are clothed in haircloth: the heads of the virgins of Jerusalem are bent down to the earth.
Darby	The elders of the daughter of Zion sit upon the ground, they keep silence; they have cast dust upon their heads, they have girded themselves with sackcloth: the virgins of Jerusalem hang down their head to the ground.
